travel gold beach

Searching for an amazing getaway destination? Do you love hiking in forests, walking on secluded beaches, biking and scenic drives? How about a vacation spot with fishing, challenging mountain hiking, jet boats and windsurfing? Come to the scenic coastal town of Gold Beach, Oregon.

Explore the Oregon Coast

Gold Beach is located along a section of the Oregon Coast where, even among a coastline renowned for its spectacular scenery, the views are extraordinary. It is also located at the place where the Rogue River empties into the Pacific Ocean. There are only three ways to experience the “Wild and Scenic” sections of the Rogue River: hiking, rafting, and jet boating. Tours on Jerry’s Rogue Jets depart from Gold Beach. Most of the town’s ocean beach is part of South Beach Park, a Gold Beach city park.

Spring + Summer

Spring and summer are great times to visit Gold Beach. During spring, the weather is mild and you can see a rainbow of different shades of green. Summer brings to the coast the awesome wind that is great for windsurfing. You can do just about anything during summer: hiking, biking, golfing, river rafting, beachcombing, jet boating, fishing, horseback riding. Our average summer temperature is in the 70’s.

Fall + Winter

During fall and winter, we have plenty of activities for you to enjoy. In the fall months, the weather is warm enough to enjoy long walks along the coast. You can also enjoy our Brew and Art Fest. During winter, favorite activities include storm watching and our annual Glass Floats on the Beach.

Explore the Rogue River

We are proud that our river, the Rogue, was one of the original 8 rivers to be designated in 1968. There is no better way to see and experience the historic and original Rogue River than a fun filled boat ride on Jerry’s Rogue Jets & Mailboats. Jerry’s is the Rogue’s original jet boat adventure and the only tour that takes you to the Wild & Scenic sections of the Rogue River.
